In the year 1968 Boy Scout Troop 463 was born. It was created by a retired reverend, Daniel Lindstrom and a group of parents who wanted to create positive activities for the youth in our area. From 1969 to 1972 Chuck McRery served as our second scoutmaster. The one thing you will appreciate the most is that he created our special neckerchiefs. The person who sewed the first batch of neckerchiefs was Mrs. Marilou Prasek. During the early years of our troops origin our Whadachoo cheer was create. Up until about 3 years ago our troop has always gone to camp Chawanakee for summer camp. Chawanakee was where our troop went every summer where we could earn merit badges and competing against other troops in camp wide competitions. Our troop has done many things like 50 milers; scouts who have gone to National and World Jamborees, and the recent trip our high adventure group took to Alaska. Over these 30 years our troop has been around we have had many Eagle Scouts and hopefully a lot more in the many years to come.
